In the Tower
I wanted to practice painting scenes and background instead of just character illustrations. This is a scene from Game of Thrones (book version) when Brandon stumbled onto an intimate session better Cersei and Jaime Lannister. My biggest problem is color selection, I'm having a really hard time making it look natural. I'm pretty pleased with the skin tone but that back ground looks daunting. The more time I spend on this the more I realize that I should have started out with a proper line art instead of just adding elements as I go. Learning progress, everyday.

So I was thinking how my bf and I don't have that many pics together, and I happen to have this thing called Photoshop...and free time. New couple pictureee!!!. So in short, I do questionable things when I'm bored. Happy Halloween everyone!

Very Pale, Reddish Brown Hair, Blue eyes.
Her eyes are very large with thick and dark eyelashes. Her nose is small and button like. She's got a curvy figure.
She's chirpy and clever but still very much a slightly frivolous person at heart. Her clothes are the best 'adventuring' clothes money can buy with a noble girl flare. She's intelligent and well versed in court politics but is still rather naive as to how the rest of the world works. If I had to pick her element it would be Air.
She wields a short bow as her weapon."

Ama
If you've been following my blog, you might have noticed that I haven't been able to finish a painting in forever. I'm coming down with a seriously bad case of artblock.
That's why I started taking commissions and requests from other people to get me motivated. This character was spawned from the brains of my best friends, she is one of three. They are representations of each of my friends (or that's from what I've gathered). Hopefully I will see this one to the end, and so far I really like the colors.
This was the description given to me-"Tan Skin, Dark Hair, Brown Eyes
She's small statured, probably has her longish hair in a sensible braid. Her eyes are heavy lidded.
She's a water type but has the Patient and Constant part of the personality instead of the stereotypical Dreamy and Wild part. More like a River rather than a Pond or Lake. She's quiet, maybe a little broody. She's suffered quite a bit emotionally but is careful to keep that sort of thing to herself. I imagine her maybe wearing something like a wrap skirt or wrap pants. She's a Pacifist so she doesn't carry any weapons but she carries a small, intricate shield."
